Choosing a PhD subject requires some original perspectives. Mira Fey found them a few blocks away from the Graduate Institute in the neighbourhood of Pâquis in Geneva. Her thesis on legal frameworks surrounding prostitution led her to face harsh realities, experience awkward interactions, and visit peculiar establishments. Yet, her research also provides new insights into the possible future of policies on prostitution.
